RAPID UPDATE ACTION ROWS Window

Xytech Standard Rapid Update Action Rows Window

The Rapid Update Action Rows Window gives you the ability to move one or more selected actions forward or back in time, set all values to a particular date, or assign units.

This window is accessible via the Rapid Update Action Rows Actions Button menu command available from the ORDER ACTUALS WINDOW.

FIELD DEFINITIONS

Move Begin / End Day / Time Forward / Back

Enter a positive or negative number in these four fields to move the day / time forward the entered number of days / minutes or back the entered number of days / minutes for the selected actions rows.

For example, if selected action rows have a Begin Date Field value of 1/17/2013 and the Move Begin Day Forward / Back Field value is set to –2, during the Rapid Update process the system will change the Begin Date Field to 1/15/2013.

IMPORTANT!

You can only choose to move begin or end dates time in one Rapid Update session. So, once you enter a number into one of the begin or end fields, the other type of fields will be inactivated, as will the Begin Date / Time and End Date / Time Fields. For example, if you enter a value in the Move Begin Time Forward / Back Field, the Move End Date Forward / Back, Move End Time Forward / Back, Begin Date / Time and End Date / Time Fields will all be made inactive.

Additionally, if you enter a value into either the Begin Date / Time or the End Date / Time Fields, these four move fields will be inactivated.

NOTE

The number that you enter into this field will set the value of the Units Field for the selected actions rows during the Rapid Update process.

NOTES

Use these fields to define specific dates and / or times that the system will apply to the selected actions rows during the Rapid Update process.

NOTES

}  The Maintain Duration Field will be automatically unchecked if both the Begin Date and End Date Fields have values; this is also true if both the Begin Time and End Time Fields have values.

}  If the Maintain Duration Field is checked, then the Rapid Update process will update the non-specified value on the selected actions rows to maintain the current duration of the action. For example, if an actions row’s time range is from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and the Begin Time Field in this window is set to 11:00 a.m., after the Rapid Update process has completed, the End Time Field of the actions row will be updated to 1:00 p.m. If the Maintain Duration Field is not checked, only the specified value will be changed.

}  These fields will be inactivated if any of the four “move” fields (see above) have been assigned a value.

}  If this field is checked and a value has been entered in the Begin Date / Begin Time or the End Date / End Time Fields, then the Rapid Update process will update the non-specified value on the selected actions rows to maintain the current duration of the action.

NOTE
