User Experience Designer

Description

The User Experience "UX" Designer is responsible for innovating, designing, monitoring, and updating digital experiences across all Xytech products. Working with product management, engineering, support, services, and customers, the User Experience Designer works to enhance the user experience by designing products that meet the user's needs.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work with the UX design, product management, and development teams to drive the best results for end users
  • Identify user segments and roles, carrying out interviews to understand the users' needs and reviews to validate experience designs
  • Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to deliver new experiences through effective artifacts - from customer journeys, ecosystem maps to wireframes and design prototypes
  • Perform and analyze user experience audits on products to identify issues in functionality, usability, and accessibility
  • Build a strong partnership with Product Management and Customer Success teams to promote understanding of the design process
  • Codify, collate, and analyze user experience stories and common workflow patterns
  • Work with quality, documentation, and training teams to support their efforts

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a UX Designer for an enterprise software company; 3-5 years' experience is preferred
  • Experience leveraging modern UX design methodology, such as Design Thinking
  • Experience with product development methodologies, such as Agile
  • A user-centric view is paramount to providing simple, usable, accessible, and innovatively enriching experiences for our customers
  • Deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
  • Ability to produce high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, graphic designs, storyboards and site maps
  • Ability to influence others and provide thoughtful leadership on all aspects of product design and user experiences.
  • Ability to maintain a balanced understanding of current technological strategy, research, interaction, and visual design trends
  • Prior experience designing experiences for data-heavy enterprise applications, such as ERP and CRM, is a plus
  • Ability to develop designs directly in a web framework, such as Angular, is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
