Title: Senior Project Manager

About Xytech

Xytech Systems is the premier media facility, asset and supply chain management software used by many of the world's film studios, broadcasters, production and post-production companies. We are located in Los Angeles and London with clients in throughout North and South America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

About the Job

The successful candidate will manage the implementation of media facility management solutions. He or she will work as an integral member of the project team, and communicate effectively with clients and internal resources. He or she will oversee all aspects of the implementation to ensure successful utilization of the product.

Responsibilities include:

Project Management

• Manage Multiple projects.
• Develop and maintain Project Plan.
• Develop and maintain functional specification and scope definition documents.
• Manage deliverables and milestones.
• Manage to project budget.
• Maintain project status report and attend status meetings.
• Effectively enforce project implementation standards.
• Effectively enforce quality assurance standards.
• Enforce Scope Change Management Policies.
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

Communication

• Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
• Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
• Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
• Facilitate team and client meetings effectively.
• Hold regular status meetings with project team.
• Keep project team well informed of changes and meetings with client management and steering committee meetings and updates.

Technical Understanding

• Understand application, database and system design.
• Understand Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures.
• Understand system integration architectures and technologies.
• Able to acquire a thorough understanding of our capabilities.
• Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential application.

Qualifications include:

• IT project management certification.
• Five or more years project management experience.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Risk and Issues Management skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Experience with film, television and media industry is a plus.
• Experience with Xytech Systems products a plus.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.
